In my opinion whatever may be the place on earth there is some sort of belief that there is a higher being which made everything including humans. Previously people worshipped nature they had some of their own rituals and they were called Pagans, their religion was mainly of worshipping nature like sun, moon, trees etc. Then came the Vedic people, which were the ones who wrote the Vedas which are the base of Hinduism. But Vedas cannot be said the word of God as The Nasadiya Sukta (after the incipit ná ásat "not the non-existent") also known as the Hymn of Creation is the 129th hymn of the 10th Mandala of the Rigveda (10:129) says ' Then even nothingness was not, nor existence,There was no air then, nor the heavens beyond it.What covered it? Where was it? In whose keepingWas there then cosmic water, in depths unfathomed?' These verses reflect Agnosticism not Theism so I cannot be the word of God.
Then came Judaism and Christianity, both believe in the Bible although Judaism follows the Old Testament only whereas Christianity both. There are many things written wrongly in the Bible like A true believer my speak in different tongues and venom won't do harm to a true believer also it says the earth is only thousands of years old and moon has it's own light and so on there are many mistakes incompatible with logic and science hence bible cannot be the word of God too. This way almost every religion fails to prove that it is the one true religion so why do people believe in religion? Because it supposedly leads to a God but then if a religion is wrong then is there any God?
